Does Vanguard allow folks to have a checkwriting MM *other* than the settlement fund? I suppose I could set up an account at someplace with higher interest than our local bank (Ally, or maybe Schwab) and use that, but I would prefer not to set up another institutional relationship for this

I funded a Vanguard account with a wire from my house sale It took until after business hours for the money to show up in my account I placed an order for shares of a money market fund its been a full day and the order has not been executed yet How long does it usually take to excuse an order? Is there a purposeful delay to make sure the money is good? Will it take a few days to get money

Vanguard tax form (1099-DIV) makes it painful for this "Foreign income" , when I looked at the Fidelity 1099-DIV which had fidelity international index fund, it clearly shows the actual dollar amount with column "Total Foreign Income"
