Iscar has a web page with PDF files of their tools and inserts I believe it is Http: www Iscar com You may import them in a DXF format, but they will only be in 2D Still it is an easy start when you are trying to draw up a holder This is especially true in MC's Lathe

Draw if you will a line, rotate that line 1 5 degrees (to simulate the bend) Observe where the end of that line now is If this is looked at as the tool, then you can see that the cut diameter is now larger as the apparant tool length is shorter the SolidCAM package that Iscar sells accounts for this bending and allows you to program to size

Looking for a carbide shank interchangeable head tool Has anyone ever stacked extensions on the iscar? not sure how well that would work I was looking at the 20mm shank, need to get about 11" OAL Does anyone else make a similar tool, maybe a bit longer?

Select the ISCAR tool library then go to the parameters page of a dynamic toolpath and theres a slide bar on the tool page and where the stepover controls are thers a drop down for 5,7 and 10% stepovers

Hello I'm not much of a lathe guy Most lathe programming I do at machine I got an iscar heli grip for a few upcoming jobs Part has groove with two walls and fillets How do u guys normally handle finishing the two walls? Iused plunge turn and saw no option for wear control etc on the finish pass
