Most amps have like 2 ampere fuses, that not a lot current Cool Don't care about the whole battery thing So a lower wattage amp uses less power than a higher watt amp? Say 5w vs 30w? And so does a solid state amp use a lot less electricity than a 5 - 10w tube amp?

Common solid state amps besides your Poly are: Evans, Quilter, Mambo, TC Electronics, Henriksen, Raezer's Edge (who make the SeQuel amps mentioned above!), and even Walter Woods! Tube amps are all over the place; I prefer 6V6 amps, myself

Actually, most "X series" Carvin amps don't have a traditional "tonestack" as in, say, Marshall or Fender amps What they have is pretty versatile Baxandall-inspired active tone controls spread into at least two gain stages Talking about "stack" and single component changes making a difference are kinda off the mark with these ones
