a. charles russo mattlin photographicsspecializing in commercial, industrial, marketing, special event and public relations photography chuck russo has more than 30 years of experience as a professional photographer.while pursuing a liberal arts degree at brandywine college (now weidner university) chuck was hired by the reading eagle company and worked as a photojournalist for 11 years before being recruited by at&t-bell laboratories to work as their senior photographer. in 1996 chuck joined lucent technologies/agere systems at their chief photographer and photo coordinator. with responsibility for advanced imaging and photographic services in north america and europe chuck's imaging lab was one of the first industrial photographic departments to adopt digital photography and over time became one of the most technically advanced facilities of it's type in the us. the facility which served as an alpha and beta test site for companies such as eastman kodak, nikon, seagate, zeiss and sitex, provided photographic services ranging from photomicroscopy to aerial photography. chuck founded his own photographic services firm, mattlin photographics in 2001.during his career chuck has done contract work for a multitude of high profile organizations. a small sampling includes the associated press, united press international, the new york times, rockwell international, princeton university, new york university, sovereign bancorp, the national football league, eastman kodak and us department of justice. because of his extensive experience in a wide variety of photographic disciplines chuck was placed on the federal bureau of investigation’s resource list following the 9-11 terrorist attack on the united states.chuck has won numerous awards with his unique and non-obtrusive style of photography. included are more than 27 photojournalism awards from the national press photographers association for images centering on news, sports, people, illustration, and picture stories and numerous awards for commercial and industrial photography. chuck has received recognition from the pennsylvania state senate as well as walt disney world where one of his photographs is displayed in the imageway of the world’s greatest photographs exhibit at epcot center. he has had two images accepted into the permanent collection of the reading public museum and art gallery. following peer reviews and meeting rigorous requirements designed to qualify his technical, artistic, ethical and business competence chuck was awarded international certification by the professional photographers of america and is among less than 1,600 photographers worldwide to have been awarded this recognition.chuck, who holds a webmaster certificate from albright college is an advisor to the council on vocational-technical education for imaging and commercial photography. born in reading, pa he is a resident of fleetwood, pa where he lives with his wife and two sons.
